Tasting notes

Old-vine Garnacha from the hills of Calatayud. According to Bodeboca: vines about 80 years old at 700–1,000 m on metamorphic rock and clay-gravel soils; 10 months in French oak; ripe raspberry, cocoa, vanilla and liquorice; powerful yet fresh and fruity. 15% ABV. Vivino (2023 vintage): 4.0.

Pairing

Rice with game, stewed pulses, mushrooms, roast lamb and aged and blue cheeses.

Cheese: Tronchón cheese and a Valdeón blue
