How this website is funded and the criteria we follow

The most important thing: buying through my links costs you nothing extra. You pay exactly the same price as if you went straight to the shop; there's no surcharge or hidden cost. It's the shop that pays me a small commission out of its margin, and that helps keep this website going. Thank you!

We don't show exact prices or Amazon ratings. As a guide we give an approximate price range for each product, based on public prices checked at different shops; the real price changes often, so always check it on the Amazon listing. Products marked «Link pending» haven't been verified on Amazon.es yet and carry no link. Some high-end pieces (hand-blown glassware, artisan corkscrews, made-to-measure wine racks) are mostly sold in specialist shops; we recommend them anyway because they're what we'd use. No manufacturer pays to appear in our guides.
Wine shops
In the Christian's wines section we link to specialist wine shops (for example Bodeboca, Decántalo, QuieroVinos, Lavinia or Vinatis), not to Amazon. We may take part in these shops' affiliate programmes, whether their own or run through affiliate networks such as Awin or Daisycon. Links to gourmet food shops (for example Ibérico ham and seafood) work the same way, through networks such as Tradedoubler or TradeTracker. If you buy after clicking one of those links, we may receive a commission; the price for you is the same. These links also carry the rel="sponsored" attribute.
Wine prices are shown as approximate ranges and change with vintage, format and shop. The selections reflect Christian's personal taste; no winery or shop pays to appear.
